7.2 PTR Development Notes for Build 23657 and Mythic Testing - Tue, 28 Feb 2017 15:44:07 -0600 Blizzard has posted the overview of what's coming in the next 7.2 PTR build. It seems to be a relatively small build focused around bug testing and tweaks, without new types of content or quests to try out. Over the next week, all Tomb of Sargeras bosses except for Kil'jaeden will be tested on Mythic difficulty as well.
Wowhead's modelviewer now supports extra 3D armor plates layered on top of the default armor pieces. For example, in the Demon Hunter Tier 20 Set, the gloves and kilt have special bulky armor pieces on top of the regular armor.
We have always included these details in our Tier previews but now they are visible as you mix and match pieces in the Dressing Room.

This set has additional armor and gems on the chest, gloves, and boots - as well as finally a matching belt! The Mythic version also has more menacing details on the shoulders, as well as special glow effects on helm, chest, and shoulders.

Artifact Weapons: What's New in Patch 7.2 - Sun, 26 Feb 2017 10:02:20 -0600 There have been many updates to artifact weapons since we last previewed them on the 7.2 PTR, including Infinite Traits, new Artifact costs, and more! Here's our updated rundown of what's coming for Artifacts in the patch:
Players with 35 traits or more traits receive a quest in Patch 7.2 to empower their artifact weapon. When the questline is complete, your Artifact Weapon changes and you get the Master Artificer achievement:
Power Ascended Artifact Rewards in 7.2: Class Mounts, Pets, Toys - Sat, 25 Feb 2017 20:11:12 -0600 As a reward for completing both your class mount quests and unlocking your final artifact trait, Blizzard has some extra goodies for you in Patch 7.2! Many classes have mounts, pets, or toys on vendors you can only purchase after obtaining the Power Ascended achievement and completing your class mount quests. Each class will get a special quest/scenario for their mount after unlocking Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two and each class has a separate set of quests to unlock their final trait.

Blizzard Posts Feb 23rd: Slot-Specific Legendary Targeting, World Boss Testing, PvP Updates - Thu, 23 Feb 2017 18:42:48 -0600 Following the Developer Q&A, Blizzard answered some questions on legendary clarifications, opened up testing on World Bosses, and announced that some PvP changes for 7.2 would be reverted. The "identify legendary" items like Tabernaccle of Twin Faiths were scrapped and described as an "experimental concept" in light of the new announcement that droprates and bad luck protection will be calculated by spec, not by class, in 7.2.
